Ladies Night at The Wine House!

on Thursday, September 8th - Event starts at 5:00 p.m.

The special wines for this special, Ladies Night event are from South Africa - Margaret Vineyards.

Margaret wines were created to commemorate a woman of great ability, fortitude and self-reliance.

The perfect wines for a Ladies Night!

Who is Margaret and why are there some wines named after her? Margaret was the daughter of Frederick and Violet. Frederick came to South Africa in 1893. He bought a beautiful farm in a remote part of the Eastern Cape and married Violet Mary Jennings. Margaret was the third child of six born. She lost her father shortly before the second World War and her brother and her fiancé during the war. Eventually Margaret accepted a teaching post in the wine and fruit farming district of Robertson in the Western Cape. She met and married Oscar de Wet who was a grape grower. She became involved in the farming activities and displayed an acute financial intelligence. When her husband died unexpectedly in 1961, he left her with a farm and four children. Now having some experience and the fortitude to succeed and continue support her family, she took over the farm and began making award winning wines.

All ladies in attendance will receive a discount on any of the Margaret wines.

By the glass, for only $7!

Also, to add to this special event, Beya Behi is a singer/songwriter that loves to explore in music, whether it’s her own, or classics she likes to revisit. She invites you on a musical trip across countries, eras, and genres; from America to Sweden, from the 1920s to the present day, and from Jazz to Folk. Enjoy a nice bottle of wine, while listening to a mix of all time classics and original songs performed by Beya.

Start playing for the ladies starting at 7 p.m. The cover charge is $5 - but not for the ladies! It's ladies' night so in addition to the South African wines, there will be

no cover charge for the ladies!
